Linked below, from five different sources, is the book titled The Law. This important book was written by Frederic Bastiat, who was a French economist and statesman. The first source notes that The Law was "first published as a pamphlet in June, 1850." It notes that Bastiat did most of his writing during that period "when France was rapidly turning to complete socialism," which is kind of like what is happening in the United States today, with those many Democratic Socialists in government positions, plus those communists which are teaching in many schools.
Looking again at Frederic Bastiat and his writing, the first source states that "he explained how socialism must inevitably degenerate into communism." This goes directly along with that which the communist dictator of Russia, Vladimir Lenin, proclaimed in the earlier 1900s. Lenin stated: "Democracy is indispensable to socialism... The goal of socialism is communism..."(1)(2) Yes, Frederic Bastiat tried to warn the people of France about where things were headed, but, as the first source notes: "his countrymen chose to ignore his logic."
Looking further at the first source linked below, it states that "'The Law' is here presented again because the same situation exists in America today as in the France of 1848. The same socialist-communist ideas and plans that were then adopted in France are now sweeping America. The explanations and arguments then advanced against socialism by Mr. Bastiat are — word for word — equally valid today. His ideas deserve a serious hearing." And, within pages of this website you are now viewing, it shows who is actually behind the socialist-communist push in the United States.
