It Is Written
The uncorrupted Holy Bible, when looking at various passages of Scripture, makes it rather clear what is coming in the days ahead. There should be no question in the minds of diligent readers of the uncorrupted Holy Bible what things will generally be like as we enter into those days relating to the end of the world. For just a few revealing passages of Scripture, consider the following:
"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ..."(II Thessalonians 1:7-8)
Yes, the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven in flaming fire, taking vengeance on those who do not know God. He will be taking vengeance on those who do not obey the authentic gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will even be taking vengeance on many who call themselves Christians, because they are not truly obeying the authentic gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, but are instead, antichrists. And, these antichrists do not know the true God of heaven, nor his ways.
It is also written: "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?"(II Peter 3:10-12)
Yes, the heavens shall pass away and the elements shall melt with a very intense heat. As a result of this intense heat, the works of humanity upon this earth shall be burned up, dissolved and destroyed. The picture presented by the passage of Scripture above so be rather clear and self explanatory. But, if a person is still having a hard time with the true picture about what is soon coming upon this earth, consider the following:
"But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape."(I Thessalonians 5:1-3)
Yes, the sudden and great destruction upon this earth will come at a time when humanity will generally be thinking that everything is okay. This sudden, immense destruction, initiated by flaming fire from heaven, will come as a surprise to the wicked and those who are disobedient to God. This sudden destruction will come as a surprise to those who do not seriously consider the things which are written in the uncorrupted Holy Bible. But, there is more to this story.
It is also written: "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places."(Revelation 6:12-14)
There is a great earthquake included in the end of the world scenario. It appears that this great earthquake may be associated with an immense bombardment of celestial impactors. During this event, the light of the sun will be blotted out, possibly from all the dust and smoke in the air and throughout the atmosphere. It appears that this bombardment of things like asteroids and comets will be so intense that every mountain and island will be moved out of their places. Are you getting the picture yet?
Celestial Devastators
The Holy Bible has told all along about an immense destruction coming upon this earth. It has told about the great fire which will come from the heavens. In the last passage of Scripture in the section above, it speaks about the stars of heaven falling to the earth. It speaks about the sun becoming black, or possibly more clearly, its light being prevented from reaching the surface of the earth because of what is happening in this end-of-the-world event.
When the stars fall from the heavens to the earth, it will be like when a fruit-filled fig tree is shaken in a mighty wind. It will not just be one or a few celestial impactors crashing to the earth, but numerous space objects will be falling to the earth at the same time and hitting all over the face of the earth. In the space of 24 hours, the face of the whole earth will be greatly affected and drastically changed by this event.
In this end-of-the-world event, the earth will be hit with a mighty barrage of deadly space objects. A vast amount of dust, smoke and ash will be thrust into the atmosphere. Yes, it appears that this will be part of what causes darkness in the midst of the day. At this point, there is something to consider. A sudden barrage of impactors upon this earth in nothing new. It is just that our modern science, with its questionable dating system, has spaced things out so it does not appear to be as a sudden, massive event.
In this event which is fast approaching, the devastation created by the celestial impactors will be worldwide, as the numerous impactors slam into the various landmasses and oceans of this earth. The impactors which crash into the oceans close to the landmasses of this earth may have the potential for creating deadly tsunamis, especially if the impactor is in the "miles large" range. The deadly tsunamis could potentially cause much destruction along the coastal regions of this earth, plus the larger tsunamis may even move farther inland.

Other celestial objects may explode mightily in the atmosphere, sending immense shock waves and wind blasts toward the ground. A destructive debris shower may also be included. These aerial explosions could potentially produce effects similar to, or potentially even much greater than, the 1908 Tunguska event in Siberia. During that event, a large area of forest was totally flattened and said to be scorched: yes, again, the forest was said to be scorched.

In the end-of-the-world event which is rapidly approaching because of the wickedness of humanity and their disobedience to the true God of heaven, as the uncorrupted Holy Bible makes known, every mountain and island shall be moved out of their places (1). In this rapidly approaching event, it will be a mighty barrage of space objects, like Tunguska events on steroids, which will be happening across the face of the whole earth. And in this incredible carnage, the works of humanity shall be utterly burned up and destroyed.
In Our Day
From various passages of Scripture, it appears that relatively few people will survive the immense devastation which shall occur near and at the end of this world. With this thought in mind, let us consider just some of the important things which are happening or being learned about in our day.
To a degree, the scientists are learning more about our earth all the time. Because of evidence found in our earth regarding impact craters, scientists are seriously looking at Near Earth Objects, as indicated by the pages linked below. They are looking for asteroids, comets and other objects which may cross the path of earth's orbit. They are diligently looking for dangerous space objects which could collide with the earth and potentially wipe out life on earth.
At this point, look again at the animations of near earth objects which are presented in some of the pages linked above. When considering what is shown in the animations, the Biblical prophecy which equates the space objects falling to the earth like a fig tree shaken in a mighty wind in very fitting. Fig trees can hold a lot of figs, as shown in the pictures accessed by the following links: (1)(2)(3). Now, imagine one of these fig trees loaded with fruit being shaken mightily in a great wind. Consider the great barrage of figs hitting the earth. That is what the fast approaching celestial barrage will be like.
The scientists have seen the vast amount of evidence from earlier, major disasters clearly written in the geology of this earth. Some people are rapidly awakening to the truth, as far as they understand it. Again, they are looking sky-ward in search of coming destruction. Possibly they are looking for that which the Holy Bible has declared all along. It appears that deep inside, they may know something horrendous is possibly coming and potentially they are afraid.
It appears that under the guise of searching for extraterrestrials, even the Vatican is getting involved in the search for celestial objects which potentially could be devastating to Earth and humanity. Possibly the Vatican's search of space is a result of the Biblical prophecy which foretells Rome's violent and utter destruction (1), after which it will never be inhabited again.
The pages linked below note that on Mount Graham, in the U.S. state of Arizona, Vatican associated scientists have used a giant telescope called LUCIFER to search the heavens, supposedly in search of extraterrestrials.
It is interesting to note that once word got out about the Vatican's association with LUCIFER, the telescope then started to be called by the more intimate-sounding name, LUCI. What Vatican apologists are saying can also be seen in the information below. It appears that to at least some Vatican associates, Lucifer is a really good guy.
Now it is time to see what the scientists, and their bosses, are possibly afraid of. In the 1990s, it appears they got to see what could potentially happen to the earth.
Shoemaker-Levy 9
In July of 1994, the scientists of this world were stunned. At that time they observed, for the first time ever in recorded history, the collision of celestial bodies. In this collision, approximately 21 pieces of the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 slammed into the atmosphere of Jupiter.
As the scientists watched the impacts on Jupiter occur one right after the other, reality finally kicked into high gear. These scientists got a first-hand look at that which this earth may readily experience in the days ahead. This may have been a very sobering event.
The largest impact in the Shoemaker-Levy 9 event is estimated to have released an energy equivalence of 6-million megatons of TNT, or approximately 600 times the energy potential of the world's total nuclear arsenal. It is said that some of the fireballs produced during the comet impacts were larger than this whole earth.

At this point, there is something to consider. In the Shoemaker-Levy 9 event, there were only about 21 comet fragments which slammed into the atmosphere of Jupiter. But, in the coming earth event, there will be a might barrage of possibly thousands of celestial impactors crashing into the earth, which will affect the whole face of the earth.
Near Earth Objects
Since the time of the Shoemaker-Levy 9 impacts, scientists have clearly realized, at least to some degree, that which may readily occur to this earth at any time. They have stepped up their efforts to look for space objects which could potentially pose a threat to life on this earth. The scientists have found a number of potential threats and appear to be finding even more threats as time goes by.

The Space Around Us
It is obvious that Near Earth Objects can pose a threat to this earth and life upon it. The dangers to this earth and to humanity could change in an instant, under the proper conditions. Let us now consider one potential scenario.
If a large space object came crashing through the asteroid belt, traveling on just the right path, it could potentially cause a chain reaction of collisions. It could be similar to a cue ball on a billard table slamming into a cluster of balls, causing them to scatter in various directions and possibly creating further collisions. About this point in our discussion, a question needs to be asked.
What really lurks out there in space? The truth is, we really only know about those things which have made near-passes to the earth in recorded history, or those things which are observed by telescopes and other sensing instruments. But what about the other objects lurking way out there in space: potential devastators we have never seen or sensed?
About the objects lurking or traveling way out in space, we really know nothing. Our scientists may have a degree of intelligence, but they definitely are not gods who know everything. They have their limitations and they make their mistakes and misjudgments. And, as seen is some of the linked pages, the scientists have missed seeing space objects until they are already on their outbound trip. Like most of us, they most likely will find out about the inbound killer object, or objects, shortly before it or they impact the earth, as indicated in the page linked below.
In the cases of missed or undiscovered space objects, if an asteroid were actually on a collision course with earth, it would come slamming into the earth, or possibly explode violently in the atmosphere, creating damage and devastation below, and we wouldn't realize what was happening until we saw bright lights, plus experienced the effects of the shock wave, or heard various loud noises.
At this point, there is something to note. Some of the articles linked below declare that those asteroids which pass the earth, while still out in space, are the closest approach of a natural object ever recorded. At this point, a question must be asked.
What about the fireballs which have passed through our atmosphere and returned to space, or the ones which have penetrated into our atmosphere and exploded violently, even causing damage and injuries? Are not these the closest approaches and near misses ever recorded? Yes, these true near misses should help adjust our reality and bring things a little closer to home.
"Wake-up" Calls
Before the terrible day of the Lord, that prophesied day of utter destruction upon this earth, there will be signs in the heavens. In relation to this, there may be some things to consider. Within recent centuries there have already been some interesting signs which have been observed in the skies of our world.
Starting with the more common and mundane, there are often streaks of light which can be seen in the night sky from meteors which burn up in the earth's atmosphere, therefore never reaching the ground. There are sometimes fireballs in the skies from smaller meteors which ultimately impact this earth.
On occasion, there have been large fireballs which are a result of space objects which pass through our atmosphere and then return to space. In more recent times, there have been fireballs which streak into the atmosphere and then explode, sometimes producing terrorizing and damaging shock waves.
Could these passing or exploding fireballs be predecessors to the large, fiery event which ultimately occurs in the fast approaching day of the Lord? Could these be our "wake-up" calls? Could these fireballs, with just a slight deviation in course further out in space, ultimately make a direct or angled hit upon the surface of the earth, with devastating results?

In the pages about the Grand Teton Daylight Meteor of 1972, it is indicated that if this meteor had hit the earth in the United States or Canada, it "could have hit the earth with a force at least as great as that of the Hiroshima atomic bomb." That is not a very comforting thought.
When considering this daytime fireball of 1972, there is a question to ask. What type of devastation could it, or another like it, or possibly even one much larger, have created on the ground, especially if its trajectory had been a bit different and it landed in a populated area?
Regarding the Wikipedia entry for the exploding Chelyabinsk meteor, which caused damage and injuries, the following should be noted. "The object was undetected before its atmospheric entry, in part because its radiant was close to the Sun." Things like this could easily happen again, with deadly and devastating results.

Examining the Prophecies
During major meteor showers in the past, there were many who thought that it was the end of the world. But, because they did not read and study the complete Bible and all its prophecies, they did not understand how the prophecies work together. They failed to see that a number of other important prophecies still had not been fulfilled. Yes, they let their emotions get the best of them and became sidetracked in some belief which did not match up to the complete truths shown throughout the uncorrupted Holy Bible.
Because people did not realize that a number of important prophecies had not yet been fulfilled, they were dead wrong in their dire predictions of utter destruction at those earlier times. But now, the prophecies are swiftly being fulfilled. Yes, it does appear that the time is now relatively short for the existence of this world.
