"A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: but thou, LORD, art most high for evermore."   (Psalms 92:6-8)

God  of  the  Spirits

It is time to consider certain things about the spirit world which are shown in the Holy Bible. God is called the God of the spirits of all flesh. (see: Numbers 16:22 & 27:16) And, as we shall soon see, it appears that the spirit world has control over the physical world which we commonly see.

It should be noted that there is a spiritual war taking place upon this earth between good and evil, but God is ultimately in control of all nature and can do with it as he sees fit, for his purpose, at whatever time he desires. In regards to this matter, consider the Scriptures below.

As Israel was preparing to go to the promised land, God declared to them: "And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee. I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee. By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land." (Exodus 23:28-30)

In the above situation, God sent hornets to drive the wicked from the land, as the children of Israel began to possess the promised land. God was in full control of these hornets and they were sent by God to work on behalf of God's people. But then, there is another situation to consider. That is when the children of Israel turned away from the true way and were disobedient to God.

Regarding a particular case when the children of Israel were disobedient to God, the LORD declared: "They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust." (Deuteronomy 32:24)

God also spoke to Israel in another place about what he would do if Israel refused to obey him. At this time, God declared: "And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate." (Leviticus 26:21-22)

It is now time to consider something else from the Holy Bible. It is time to consider this something a bit closer than is commonly done. Just before the children of Israel left their bondage in Egypt, the LORD performed the passover (see: Exodus 12:27). In the middle of the night, the LORD passed throught the midst of Egypt and slew the firstborn of the Egyptians and their beasts (see: Exodus 11:). So, what did the LORD use to slay all the firstborn of the Egyptians?

The answer to the above question should be able to be answered from the Holy Bible, with just a little thought. It is clearly written: "But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel." (Exodus 11:7) Yes, the answer has been there for us to read all along, about what really happened in Egypt.

It appears that God used dogs to attack and slay the firstborn of all the Egyptians. It appears that possibly the spirit from God went into even the family pets, and they slew the firstborn in their masters houses. It appears that possibly the guard dogs of even the beasts of the Egyptians suddenly turned and slew the firstborn of the Egyptian beasts and of their cattle. And, in like manner shall things happen upon this earth in the times ahead.

Spirit  Control

The uncorrupted Holy Bible actually introduces the reader to and speaks about that which the writer shall call the true spirit world. It is time to consider the power of the spirit world over the physical world. It is time to consider that which can occur when spirits enter into something living, like an animal or a human. The passage of Scripture which follows is just one example of that which is found within the uncorrupted Holy Bible.

It is written:

"And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he [Jesus] was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
"But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, and cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
"For he [Jesus] said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
"Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
"And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
"And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine."
(Mark 5:1-16)

In  Just  One  Man

The devil spirits which were in just one man, as shown in the passage of Scripture in the section above, entered into approximately two thousand swine and caused these swine to do something which they normally would not do. When the spirits entered into the swine, these swine went completely crazy and ran violently down a steep place, to ultimately perish in the sea. This is just one example of that which can happen when spirits take control of a living being.

Let us consider a few thoughts. What could occur if a military fighter or bomber pilot was suddenly taken over by spirits, let's say, during the tribulation? Could they begin to attack their own government or military offices or headquarters? What could happen if an army was taken over by spirits, in that day? Could they begin to shoot their own comrades? The answer to these questions may become quite clear later in this discussion.

This phenomenon of spirit control is something to consider, for it appears that it may be strongly occurring during the great tribulation, when people are taken over by devil spirits and are violently killing one another.

A  Deadly  Messenger

Let us now consider how God can make use of animals, for his purpose, in a different type of situation. The following passage is also recorded in the uncorrupted Holy Bible.

"And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back: and he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee, but camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
"And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back. And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase. And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet dwelt.
"And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him. And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him. And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass."
(I Kings 13:20-28)

Multiple  Attacks

Let us now consider how animals have worked in yet another situation, as recorded plainly in the uncorrupted Holy Bible.

It is written: "And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is nought, and the ground barren.
"And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
"So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake. And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
"And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them."
(II Kings 2:19-24)

Sustaining  His  Servant

God can also use the animal kingdom in other ways, even for good and humane purposes. Consider the following from the Word of God.

"And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
"And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
"So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook."
(I Kings 17:1-6)

Commanding  the  Ravens

In the case shown in the section above, when Elijah did the true work that God commanded him and God had yet more work for Elijah to do, then God also saw fit to preserve Elijah. In this particular instance, God commanded the ravens to feed Elijah, while Elijah was in hiding from the wicked king Ahab. Yes, God can even cause the animal kingdom to work on behalf of his servants, if he so desires. But there is more to this story than simply the animal kingdom.

Swords  Against  Comrades

The Scriptures have shown how God can use the birds and the beasts, and even the insects for his purpose. But again, there is more to this story. So, let us now consider an example which indicates that the Spirit of God can cause his enemies to destroy themselves, when he chooses to do things this way.

It is written: "And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.
"And they stood every man in his place round about the camp: and all the host ran, and cried, and fled. And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the LORD set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host..."
(Judges 7:20-22)

Destruction  of  Armies

Let us now consider an example from the uncorrupted Holy Bible which shows how God has even caused allied armies of his enemies to utterly destroy one another.

It is written:

"Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation; and he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
"And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD. And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.
"And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
"And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.
"And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
"And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped."
(II Chronicles 20:14-24)

Dead  Bodies  Fallen

In the above situation, God, who is the God of the spirits of all flesh, caused the three allied armies which had come against Israel to kill and destroy one another. When Israel came to the place where their enemies had assembled for battle against Israel, all that Israel found were dead bodies fallen to the earth. The people of Israel had no need to fight for themselves in this battle, for the Lord had already fought for them. The Lord caused the formerly allied enemies of Israel to suddenly turn against each other and utterly destroy themselves.

By  the  Sword  of  His  Brother

As these things are being considered, let us also look at another verse from the Holy Bible. In a certain place, God has declared: "And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother." (Haggai 2:22)

Yes, every one will come down or be killed by the sword of, not his certain enemy, but by the sword or weaponry of his brother. It appears that even very close friends will suddenly and uncontrollably turn and be killing one another.

The enemies of God will have absolutely no control over themselves, when God sends the spirits at his disposal into them and these spirits then take total control of the acts which the enemies of God will then perform. They will perform these acts even on their close friends and associates, or on their own countryman.
